Born and raised in Salinas, Victor Rey graduated Cum Laude from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Crop Science and minors in Agribusiness and Ethnic Studies. Rey has worked more than fifteen years in Food Production Management, most of that in the Salinas Valley produce industry.
Rey is a Certified Professional of Food Safety via the National Environmental Health Association. In 2011, Rey received a Masters of Business Administration (Suma Cum Laude) from the University of Phoenix.
Rey has been active in Community Service since high school and college, and served on Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System’s Board of Directors from 2012-2016. Rey’s major interest in healthcare is improving access to quality care for all community members.
In his free time, Victor Rey enjoys spending time hiking, camping, and making memories with his wife Bernardita and sons Tomas and Mateo.
